Derek's Story
I hope a few folks still remember me from when I was class parliamentarian, Prom Chair and played varsity tennis (on the bench) in my one year at Potomac. Yes. You have me to blame for the prom's Hawaiian theme! Went from Potomac to Georgetown's Foreign Service School. Moved to California and attended UC Davis Law School. Worked mainly for the State of California for about 30 years. Retired 8 yrs. ago. Single (close but no cigar), no kids. Busy with volunteer work, especially Lions Clubs International for 25 years. Now living in Sacramento California. Love to trave...Expand for more
l, read and still play music. Played in a folk rock blue grass group in college called "Spanish Grass" that actually played in a show with John Denver. BTW, I attended 3 high schools and was at my High School Reunion in Hawai three weeks ago. Life is pretty good. Anyone hear from my crushes at Potomac, Sharon Somers and Cathy Bangert? Then again I had a crush on most of the girls in our class and our history teacher, Ms. Kane! I really appreciated how everyone made the new kid in school feel so welcome and a part of a very special last year.. My thanks to all of you.
